Privacy Policy (Beta) — dAIa Skills

1) Introduction

Welcome to dAIa Skills ("dAIa Skills", "we", "us"). We provide an AI-powered skills-enhancement companion that helps users practice, understand, and build confidence through self-paced exercises, guided explanations, and targeted feedback (the "Service").

Not a licensed instruction provider / not a replacement:

dAIa Skills is a skills-enhancement technology and does not replace teachers, curriculum, or licensed instruction. It does not deliver classroom lessons, issue formal grades, or operate as a KHDA/ADEK-licensed institute.

Beta notice:

This is a beta release. Features and data fields may change as we improve the Service based on feedback.

2) PDPL (UAE) overview

We aim to process personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) principles such as transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, and security.

3) Information we collect

A) Student/user information (provided or generated)

  • Name or nickname/alias (optional where supported), year group/skill level (if provided)
  • Practice activity and progress (answers, attempts, time-on-task, mastery signals)
  • Interaction content (messages users submit; responses delivered)
  • Preferences/goals (topics selected, confidence checks)

B) Parent/guardian information (where applicable)

  • Email and account details
  • Support requests and beta feedback (including attachments if submitted)

C) Technical and security information

  • Device/browser info, basic analytics/usage events
  • Security logs (e.g., login events), error logs and diagnostics

4) How we use information

We use data to:

  • Provide the Service (sign-in, sessions, practice, explanations, feedback)
  • Personalise practice and highlight areas for extra work
  • Communicate essential service messages (e.g., authentication emails, account notices)
  • Improve reliability, safety, and quality (debugging, abuse prevention)
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

5) Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data:

  • With the parent/guardian linked to the account (progress insights)
  • With service providers who help operate the Service (e.g., hosting/auth/email delivery/monitoring/AI processing) under our instructions
  • If legally required by valid UAE legal process

6) International transfers

Depending on where our providers operate, data may be processed inside or outside the UAE. Where cross-border transfers occur, we aim to apply appropriate safeguards consistent with PDPL expectations.

7) Security

We use measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No system is 100% secure; we continuously improve safeguards.

8) Your rights

Where applicable under PDPL, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object, withdraw consent, and request information about processing, including rights related to automated decision-making in certain situations.

9) Children / minors

The Service may be used by students with parent/guardian involvement. Parents/guardians can request access, correction, or deletion of the student's data.
